The U.S. economy charged chugged right along in August according to the latest report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The agency’s August report showed that the economy added 201,000 jobs last month, and the unemployment rate stayed steady at 3.9 percent.
The economy beat expectations by 10,000 jobs (201k jobs added vs. 191k estimated), according to the report.
Top job sector gains included the professional and business services, health care, transportation, and construction industries.
