The Intel Look Ahead: Trump To Pardon Turkey During Thanksgiving Recess

It’s going to be a light week around Washington D.C., as Congress is in recess for the Thanksgiving holiday. In the off week, candidates are expected to have a light campaign schedule and major legislative developments are likely to be limited. President Trump, however, will continue the tradition of pardoning turkeys at the White House. Be sure to share your thoughts about who should receive the presidential pardon – Bread or Butter.

Thanksgiving is on Thursday, so make sure you’ve started thawing your turkey so it’s ready for the big day.

WEEKEND QUICK HITS

On Friday (11/22) afternoon, Americans for Prosperity announced they are launching approximately $250,000 worth of digital ads in North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and Texas on issues ranging from taxes and government spending to health care. (Politico, 11/22/19)

Per Politico, on Sunday, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg formally announced he is running for president, “bringing a narrow following but boundless bank account to the crowded Democratic primary.” (Politico, 11/24/19)

On Tuesday, November 26, President Trump will participate in pardoning the National Thanksgiving Turkey, later he will hold a campaign rally in Sunrise, Florida.
