NATIONAL

President Trump’s re-election campaign and the Republican National Committee announced they raised $105 million in the second quarter of this year. (The New York Times, 7/2/19)


PRESIDENTIAL

Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s campaign announced that the South Bend mayor raised $24.8 million in the second quarter of the year. (CNBC, 7/1/19)

  • Former Vice President Joe Biden announced that he raised $21.5 million since entering the race in late April. (Bloomberg, 7/3/19)
  • Bernie Sanders’ campaign said that he raised $18 million in the second quarter of 2019. (The New York Times, 7/2/19)
  • Kamala Harris’ campaign said she raised $2 million in the first 24 hours following the start of last Thursday’s presidential primary debate. (The New York Times, 6/29/19)

POLL: This week’s Morning Consult poll of Democratic primary voters found former Vice President Joe Biden leading the field for President with support from 33% of those polled. He is followed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (19%), Sen. Kamala Harris (12%), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (12%), Mayor Pete Buttigieg (6%). (Morning Consult, 6/10/19)

  • POLL: A CNN poll released on Monday shows Biden leading the field with 22% followed by Harris (17%), Warren (15%), Sanders (14%), and Buttigieg. (CNN, 7/1/19)
  • POLL: On Tuesday, Quinnipiac released a poll showing Biden leading with 22% followed by Harris (20%), Warren (14%), Sanders (13%), and Buttigieg. (Quinnipiac University, 7/2/19)
  • POLL: An Economist/YouGov poll released on Wednesday showed Biden with support from 23% of primary voters followed by Warren (19%), Harris (15%), Sanders (9%), and Buttigieg (8%). (The Economist, 7/3/19)

SENATE ARIZONA

Democrat Mark Kelly, the former astronaut running to unseat Sen. Martha McSally (R-AZ), announced that he has raised $4.2 million in April, May, and June. (The Arizona Republic, 7/2/19)


SENATE COLORADO

Keating Research, Onsight Public Affairs and Martin Campaigns released an approval rating poll this week that showed 40% of voters viewing Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO) favorably and 39% viewing him unfavorably. (KOM Poll, 7/3/19)

Democrat Mike Johnson, a former two-term state senator, plans to report his campaign for Colorado’s U.S. Senate seat brought in $1.6 million through the end of the second quarter. (Colorado Politics, 7/1/19)

Dan Baer, a Democrat and former ambassador in the Obama administration, raised more than $1.1 million in the second quarter for the Colorado Senate race. (Politico, 7/1/19)

SENATE IOWA

Democrat Theresa Greenfield, who is running for the Democratic nomination to unseat Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), announced that she has raised more than $625,000 in less than a month since launching her bid. (The Associated Press, 7/2/19)


SENATE KANSAS

Former U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom (D-KS) officially launched his campaign to replace retiring Republican Sen. Pat Roberts. (The Kansas City Star, 7/1/19)

Nancy Boyda, a farmer who served one term in the U.S. House after ousting incumbent Republican Rep. Jim Ryun in Kansas’ 2nd congressional district in 2006, quietly filed papers to run for U.S. Senate this week. (The Kansas City Star, 7/1/19)

State Sen. Barbara Bollier, a state legislator who switched parties last year, sat down with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer last week to discuss a possible run for the U.S. Senate as a Democrat. (The Wichita Eagle, 6/29/19)


SENATE MAINE

Maine state House Speaker Sara Gideon (D-ME) raised more than $1 million for her Senate campaign in the week following her official launch. (Politico, 7/2/19)

SENATE NEW MEXICO

Rep. Ben Ray Luján raised more than $1.1 million in the second quarter of this year for his New Mexico Senate bid. (Politico, 7/2/19)


SENATE SOUTH CAROLINA

Democrat Jaime Harrison said he raised $1.5 million in the second quarter of 2019 for his bid to oust Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) next year. (The Hill, 7/2/19)

SENATE SOUTH DAKOTA

Scyller Borglum, a freshman Republican legislator from Rapid City, announced she is launching a primary campaign against Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD). (Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, 7/2/19)


SENATE TEXAS

Chris Bell, a former Democratic congressman from Houston and 2006 gubernatorial nominee, filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for U.S. Senate. (The Texas Tribune, 7/3/19)


SENATE WYOMING

A poll conducted by GOP firm the Tarrance Group found that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) holds a lead in a potential primary matchup against former Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) should the two face off in a primary for the U.S. Senate seat of retiring Sen. Mike Enzi (R-WY). The poll shows Cheney leading Lummis 56% to 34%. (Breitbart, 7/1/19)

Republican Robert Grady, a former adviser to President George H.W. Bush, is reportedly exploring a potential campaign to fill the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Mike Enzi (R-WY). Sources claim that Grady is exploring a possible House run should Rep. Liz Cheney decide to seek the Senate seat. (Casper Star-Tribune, 6/29/19)


HOUSE GEORGIA

GA-07: Jacqueline Tseng, a first-generation Cambodian refugee who’s been active in local and state politics, filed paperwork to join the crowded Republican field for the 7th District congressional race. (Forsyth County News, 7/2/19)

HOUSE MICHIGAN

MI-03: In an op-ed in The Washington Post, Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) announced he is leaving the Republican Party. (The Washington Post, 7/4/19)


HOUSE NEW JERSEY

NJ-07: A new poll commissioned by the NRCC shows freshman Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) in a statistical tie with an unnamed Republican challenger. The Republican leads Malinowski 44% to 42%. (New Jersey Globe, 7/1/19)


HOUSE NEW YORK

NY-22: Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell (R-NY) announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination to take on freshman Rep. Anthony Brindisi next year. (WSKG, 7/2/19)


HOUSE NORTH CAROLINA

NC-03: The Winning for Women’s super PAC launched its second six-figure ad buy attacking Republican Greg Murphy in the runoff for North Carolina’s 3rd District. (Politico, 7/1/19)

HOUSE TEXAS

TX-28: EMILY’s List is reportedly looking to challenge Texas Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar. The challenge would be the second House incumbent the women’s group could take on in 2020. (Politico, 7/3/19)


HOUSE UTAH

UT-04: Kathleen Anderson, a Republican activist and wife of former state GOP party Chairman Rob Anderson, became the first Republican to announce their candidacy to challenge Rep. Ben McAdams (D-UT). (Salt Lake Tribune, 6/28/19)
