This week finally marked the end to the midterm primary season, as New Hampshire and Rhode Island primary voters stuffed the ballot boxes in their respective states. We are now less than 8 weeks out from the November midterms, and in case you had any doubt, one look at the number of polls and TV ads hitting the airwaves tells you all you need to know.
Priorities USA Action and Senate Majority PAC, two of the biggest Democratic outside groups, joined forces this week to launch a $21 million digital advertising onslaught designed to attack Republican candidates in key Senate races. Meanwhile, the Senate Leadership Fund, a GOP-aligned group, pledged another $6.4 million in TV ads in key states like Missouri, Indiana, and Nevada.
On the House side, a slew of new polls release this week are painting a clearer picture for November.
