Primary voters hit the polls Tuesday in states with key House, Senate, and gubernatorial primaries. AR Intel broke down the data to analyze how turnout in the 2018 midterms compared to previous primaries.
Unfortunately little data is currently available in Indiana, but voter turnout went up in West Virginia compared to 2014, despite a new voter ID law taking effect this cycle. And in Ohio, significantly more ballots were cast for Repubican Mike DeWine than Democrat Richard Cordray in that state’s gubernatorial primaries.
