AR Intel’s Week Ahead: Biden to Pittsburgh, Harris to Detroit, Bill & Hill Hit the West Coast

It’s back to work for Congress after a two-week recess. The House will tackle the Climate Action Now Act, while the House Rules Committee will have a “Medicare for All” hearing on Tuesday. The Senate will process the president’s veto message on the Yemen resolution.

President Trump on Monday will host the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball National Champions, The Baylor Lady Bears, at the White House. Tuesday, President Trump will meet with congressional Democrats on infrastructure. Later, he will welcome the 2018 NASCAR Cup Champion Joey Logano. On Wednesday, the president and the First Lady Melania Trump will participate in the National Day of Prayer dinner, and on Thursday, they will participate in the National Day of Prayer service. Finally on Friday, Trump will meet with the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic.

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D-IN) will have lunch with Rev. Al Sharpton in Harlem, New York, NY, followed by an appearance on “The Daily Show.”

Stacey Abrams will appear on the “Alyssa Milano: SORRY NOT SORRY” podcast

Former State Sen. Mike Johnston (D-CO) will attend a meet and greet in Grand Junction, CO

Tuesday, April 30

Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA) will attend a press conference on Black Youth Suicide and Mental Health in Washington, DC

Buttigieg will attend a fundraiser in Somerville, MA

Biden will attend an event at the Veterans Memorial Building in Cedar Rapids, IA
