AR Intel’s Week Ahead: Beto Barnstorms Iowa, Trump to Florida, Biden to Nevada

President Donald J. Trump will welcome Tiger Woods to the White House on Monday and present the winner of 81 official PGA Tour events, including 15 majors, with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. On Tuesday, Trump will attend First Lady Melania Trump’s “Be Best Celebration.” On Wednesday, the president will hold a campaign rally in Panama City, Florida. And finally on Friday, the president and first lady will participate in a “Celebration of Military Mothers.” The House will focus on the Supplemental Appropriations Act and the Protecting Americans with Preexisting Conditions Act. The Senate will focus on confirming Trump nominees.

Monday, May 6

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) will attend a school visit at Berg Middle School in Newton, IA; will attend Climate Change Roundtable Discussion at Des Moines Public Library in Des Moines, IA; will hold a town hall at Principal Black Box Theatre, Kent Campus Center, Simpson College in Indianola, IA; and will attend an event sponsored by the Asian and Latino Coalition, USW Local 310 in Des Moines, IA

Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D-IN) will attend a meet and greet in Orangeburg, SC

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) will attend a public school event with American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten in Dearborn, MI; and will attend an AFT Votes town hall at Marcus Garvey Academy in Detroit, MI

Colorado Senate candidate Lorena Garcia will attend Broomfield Dems’ Monthly Meeting at Broomfield Community & Senior Center in Broomfield, CO

Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL) will attend a City Club of Chicago event at Maggiano’s Banquets in Chicago, IL

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-NY) will attend Women’s Power Lunch with Rep. Jan Schakowsky at Hilton Chicago in Chicago, IL

Reps. Max Rose (D-NY) and Yvette Clarke (D-NY) will host a field hearing at Borough Hall in Brooklyn, NY

Tuesday, May 7

O’Rourke will attend town hall at Fat Hill Brewing Company in Mason City, IA

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) will speak the “How Corporate and Right-Wing Interests Captured the U.S. Supreme Court” discussion in Washington, DC

Colorado Senate candidate Mike Johnston (D-CO) will attend a lunchtime discussion on social justice and education in Denver, CO

Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) will attend the March of Dimes Celebrity Cook Off at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC

Thursday, May 9

Biden will attend a campaign event at a location TBA, IA

Buttigieg will attend a fundraiser at The Abbey in West Hollywood, CA

Stacey Abrams  will speak at Emory Class Day at Emory University in Atlanta, GA
